With the deepening of basic education reform and the adjustment of new curriculum reform,the revision of Compulsory Education Curriculum Plan and Curriculum Standard(2022 Edition)has revised music and fine arts education as the main line,increased the real time of art curriculum,and incorporated dance,drama,film and television content into it.It emphasizes aesthetic education in art courses,and sets different learning tasks and goals for each academic year to strengthen the connection between art and life.In addition,in order to meet the needs of international talents,the comprehensive education of STEAM Education has been internationally recognized.Since 2015,the Ministry of Education issued a series of documents,which pointed out that primary and secondary education should strengthen the integration of experimental teaching and disciplines,integrate programming,maker,artificial intelligence and social practice,and actively carry out education and teaching.Cultivate a new generation of high-quality and innovative talents.With the support of a series of national education policies,animation teaching in domestic primary and secondary schools has a good future development.At the present stage,animation course teaching is concentrated in developed areas,and there are no clear indicators in curriculum implementation,teaching objectives and teaching significance.The orientation of animation teaching in art textbooks is the learning of multimedia art.Through consulting relevant literature and combining with actual interviews with teachers in education probation schools,it is found that animation learning in middle schools focuses on the module of art appreciation,or takes animation teaching as a single course of learning,and there is a lack of teaching cases that effectively implement the integration of animation teaching appreciation and skills.The integration of STEAM education and art classes focuses on building theoretical models rather than practical operations.In order to solve this problem,this paper takes the STEAM education concept as the support and the middle school stop-motion animation course teaching as the support to carry out the teaching design.This paper first defines the concept of STEAM education,summarizes the characteristics of STEAM teaching and curriculum implementation process,analyzes the main teaching points of stop-motion animation,and lays a theoretical foundation for teaching design.Analyze the feasibility and value of combining STEAM with stop-motion animation.In the early stage,students’ knowledge and ability as well as the basis of teaching environment were understood through student questionnaire,teacher interview and actual investigation,and teaching design was carried out from the perspective of curriculum standards,teaching objectives and teaching evaluation.In the teaching of stop-motion animation,students are encouraged to cooperate with their group partners in the classroom through such aspects as stop-motion appreciation,stop-motion animation studio APP explanation,script writing,storyboard drawing,character and scene production,post-production shooting and synthesis,display and evaluation,and integrate art,music,mathematics,material resources,science and technology,labor technology and other disciplines.Take the initiative to find solutions to practical problems,and give play to students’ innovative consciousness,teamwork and language communication.Finally,the teaching of this course is considered in a variety of evaluation methods.
