Abstract/Summary:
As the reserve force of future teachers, the teaching ability of normal students affects the teaching quality and teaching effect, and is more related to the reform and development of basic education. At present, microteaching is usually used to train normal students in normal universities. However,in the process of microteaching, due to the limitations of practice venues and training cycles, there are problems such as idealized teaching scenes, simple training modes, and lack of real teaching experience, which makes it difficult to achieve the ideal training effect.Virtual Reality(VR)technology has the characteristics of immersion, imagination and interactivity. It has unique advantages in the field of skill training. It can overcome the shortcomings of traditional microteaching to a certain extent,so as to obtain better teaching and training results. However, most of the current research on the application of virtual reality in skill training focuses on environment creation and resource development, and its impact on the acquisition of teaching skills of normal students still needs more in-depth theoretical exploration and empirical analysis. This study analyzes the research status of VR applied to teaching ability training by combing the literature, and designs a comparative experiment based on the existing virtual micro-training system and micro-teaching content. The experimental process mainly includes two stages, namely, the basic teaching skill training stage and the classroom control skill training stage. The students majoring in educational technology in a normal university were selected as the research objects, and the virtual environment and traditional micro-environment training programs were designed to carry out a 12-week control experiment.By collecting, sorting and analyzing the data of learners ’ teacher self-efficacy questionnaire, teaching process behavior model and teaching skill score, this paper evaluates the development of normal students ’ teaching ability level from multiple perspectives, and discusses the application effect of VR training system to promote the acquisition of normal students ’ teaching skills, and analyzes and compares the differences between traditional micro-teaching environment and VR training environment on the development of normal students ’ teaching ability.By analyzing the experimental results, this study found that(1)compared with the traditional micro-training method, the virtual micro-training system can help normal students significantly improve teachers ’ self-efficacy;(2)Both training environments can improve the teaching skills of normal students, but the virtual training environment has a greater degree of improvement in the teaching skills of normal students;(3)In the stage of basic teaching skills training, the virtual microteaching training system only has a significant effect on the individual dimensions of teaching skills, but its overall level has not been significantly improved;in the stage of classroom control skills training, the virtual micro-training system has significantly improved the classroom control skills of normal students, and the overall level of teaching skills has also been significantly improved;(4)VR microteaching training system helps to increase the frequency of conversion between normal students ’ teaching behaviors and makes teaching more flexible.
