Regional significance is a key focus of geography,and the examination of the disparities between natural and human occurrences in the earth’s surface area from the viewpoint of location or space is of great significance.It requires students to have the thinking character of placing certain geographical phenomena and things within a certain spatial scope and analyzing their spatial relations,spatial structure,comparison,and summarizing regional characteristics.The Ministry of Education’s Geography Curriculum Standards for Ordinary High Schools(2017edition)emphasize regional cognition as one of the four core qualities of geography,thereby meeting the needs of both geography and students’ growth and development.This highlights the significance of nurturing students’ geographical thinking.This paper examines the examination path of geography questions based on regional perspective,examines regional geography knowledge,understanding method,and cognition level of high school students,and proposes teaching suggestions to provide guidance for teaching and college entrance examination preparation.In this paper on the regional cognition and geography questions on the basis of the research progress,in 2018-2022 national college entrance exam geography questions as material,based on regional cognitive perspective to establish regional cognitive test questions test path model,and use text analysis and comparative analysis method combing regional cognitive test questions specific test path score type,knowledge distribution,ask Angle,statistical analysis of regional cognitive examination connotation,ability,level and scale,etc.,summarize questions test characteristics and trend,on this basis,through the characteristics of regional cognitive test.Finally,based on the characteristics of the regional cognitive questions.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:First,from the macro perspective,the proportion of geographical scores in the paper I paper in the last five years is large,while the score has the largest proportion and increasing trend;the proportion of the geographical feature questions is also large,but the geographic process questions have the most difficulty and relatively small and decreasing trend.Secondly,based on the perspective of regional cognition,the thorough analysis of the geography examination path in the past five years from the perspectives of regional cognitive connotation,regional cognitive ability,regional cognitive level and the scale of regional cognition found that:(1)In the past five years,the national "Volume I" regional cognition questions involve all aspects of regional cognitive connotation,among which regional characteristics and regional development content account for a large proportion.The geographical characteristics questions mainly examine regional characteristics and regional differences;the relationship between man and region focuses on regional development and causality;the geographical process mainly focuses on regional characteristics and changes.(2)In the college entrance examination geography test,the regional cognitive ability test is comprehensive,focusing on the comprehensive analysis ability of regional characteristics and the causal analysis and reasoning ability of regional elements.Among them,the geographical characteristics questions attach great importance to the regional characteristics comprehensive analysis ability,the geographical connection and geographical process questions attach great importance to the regional elements causal analysis and reasoning ability.(3)In the past five years,each level of regional cognitive questions is involved,"level 2" and "level 3" examination occupies a relatively large proportion,and the level of the two types of questions has a trend of improvement.(4)In the past five years,the national I volume regional cognition questions are involved in different scales,especially relying on small scale regions to examine geographical characteristics,geographical links and geographical process knowledge,emphasizing the specificity of local regions.Thirdly,according to the research conclusion of the regional cognition questions,combined with the new curriculum standards,social development and the needs of students’ own growth,the following problems should be emphasized in the teaching process: strengthening the regional understanding and cultivating the regional thought;pay attention to the regional cognitive connotation,grasp the teaching points;cultivate the regional cognitive ability and improve the geographical literacy;clarify the regional cognitive level and analyze the content level.
