Research On The Measurement Of The Independence Level Of Asset Evaluation Institutions Based On Grounded Theory

With the reform of the shareholding system of state-owned enterprises,Chinese asset appraisal industry has entered a period of rapid development.At present,in order to satisfy their own economic interests,some evaluation institutions even violate the principle of independence to provide false evaluation reports,causing the public to doubt the independence of the evaluation industry.In this context,it is of great practical significance to systematically identify the influencing factors and measure methods of the appraisal independence of asset appraisal institutions.This thesis follows the research logic of “literature review and theoretical basis analysis--current situation and problems analysis--grounded interview analysis--measurement system construction--case analysis--conclusions and suggestions”,and uses grounded theory method,analytic hierarchy process and entropy weight method to systematically study the measurement of the independence of evaluation institutions in China.The purpose of this study is to extract the core factors affecting the independence of asset appraisal institutions based on grounded interview method,and to design a quantitative system to measure the independence of appraisal institutions,and then verify its applicability through case analysis.The core content of this thesis consists of four parts.The first part is Chapters 1 and 2.This part sorts out literature of domestic and foreign research on evaluating the independence of institutions from different dimensions,and analyzes the research foundation of this thesis from the perspectives of principal-agent theory,information asymmetry theory and grounded theory.The second part is chapter 3,which studies the relevant policies and status quo of the evaluation of institutional independence as well as the status quo and problems of the measurement of institutional independence.The third part is chapter 4～5,which is the key of this article.In this part,lots of interviews are designed based on grounded theory and three-level coding of interview data is carried out to refine the theoretical model for evaluating the influencing factors of institutional independence.On this basis,this part designs the evaluation agency independence measurement framework,including index system,weighting method and evaluation standard.Finally,this part takes Z institution as an example to conduct case analysis on the measurement framework of evaluating institution independence,and analyzes the applicability of this evaluation framework.The fourth part is chapter 6 of this thesis,which systematically summarizes the full text and research conclusions,and propose relevant recommendations from the perspective of how to improve the scientific measurement of the independence of evaluation institutions.The main conclusions are as follows: First,according to the research process of grounded theory,this thesis finds that evaluation conditions,market demand and supervision level are three core factors affecting the independence of evaluation agencies.Secondly,on the basis of grounded theory research,the weight of each factor is determined comprehensively by combining analytic hierarchy process and entropy weight method.It can be seen that economic interests,external pressure and external supervision have a significant impact on the independence of evaluation institutions.Thirdly,the evaluation agency independence measurement framework designed in this thesis,including the index system,weight design and evaluation criteria,is applicable to the promotion of quantitative independence.Fourthly,according to the weight distribution of indicators in the case analysis,this thesis believes that the independence level of evaluation agencies can be improved by reducing client and administrative intervention,improving the professional ethics of evaluators,and strengthening supervision.The innovation of this thesis lies in the application of grounded theory method to the study on the measurement of the independence of evaluation institutions,and the design of a quantitative evaluation framework for the independence of evaluation institutions,including index system,weighting method and evaluation criteria,which has a high applicability for promotion.
