With the gradual aging of China,the rapid economic development and the continuous improvement of people’s living standard,the government and individuals pay more attention to the quality of life and the personal subjective sense of fairness.Individual subjective sense of fairness is an important manifestation of the social insurance system to narrow the income gap and achieve the function of social fairness.And in recent years,due to the reform of China’s industrial structure and economic system,the employment situation in the labor market has also undergone great changes,and various types of flexible employment positions have emerged,and the number of flexible employment has been increasing.However,with the rapid increase in the number of flexibly employed workers in China,the basic pension insurance system for this group is not yet perfect and the public policy dissemination mechanism is not yet sound,which makes it difficult for flexibly employed workers to participate in basic pension insurance.The rise of flexibly employed people not only poses a challenge to the basic pension insurance system in China,but also puts forward new requirements for the construction of a new and more equitable protection system in China.Therefore,it is necessary to study the impact of basic pension insurance on the sense of fairness of flexibly employed people,both from the perspective of the urgent need to improve the basic pension insurance system and from the perspective of enhancing the sense of social fairness.This paper is based on the micro level of flexibly employed people,designing questionnaires and using ordered logit regression models to study the impact of variables such as basic pension insurance on the sense of fairness of flexibly employed people,as well as comparing the difference of this impact on flexibly employed people and regular enterprise workers.Based on the more systematic study of basic pension insurance on different employed persons,the multidimensional analysis can show more clearly the different effects of the pension insurance system on the sense of fairness of different employed persons,and also provide empirical evidence for the rapid development of pension insurance in China.After the empirical study,we found that the basic pension insurance can significantly improve the subjective sense of fairness of flexibly employed workers,which is due to the fact that the basic pension insurance can significantly improve the sense of fairness of flexibly employed workers once it intervenes in the absence of pension security;the basic pension insurance has a more significant effect on the subjective sense of fairness of flexibly employed workers than that of regular enterprise workers,which is due to the fact that the social security of regular enterprise workers is better,while the social security of flexibly employed workers is relatively lacking.This is because the social security of workers in formal enterprises is better,while the social security of flexibly employed workers is relatively lacking,and the marginal effect of basic pension insurance on flexibly employed workers is more significant;finally,this paper uses OLS linear regression model and propensity score matching to conduct robustness test,which can prove the reliability of the above findings.Based on the findings of this paper,the following policy recommendations can be given: lower the contribution rates and extend the contribution years;regulate the legal relationship between flexibly employed persons and enterprises and strengthen the responsibility of platform enterprises to pay contributions;and improve the cognition of flexibly employed persons to participate in insurance.
