Knowledge management and knowledge sharing has become the popular study field in the academic and theoretical worlds. They will be the most important theories of the state, enterprises and individuals operating and management activities in the 21st century knowledge-based society. With the extensive application of knowledge management in modern enterprise in knowledge economy era, knowledge-intensive University Town urgently demands knowledge management and knowledge sharing. In recent years, the actual operation and practical effects of University Town did not reflect the original intention of University Town construction, particularly it had no substantial changes in the resources sharing, knowledge sharing and knowledge innovation compared with the non-University Town College. Higher education reform is a global issue in the knowledge economy era, while knowledge resources sharing in University Town is a new problem of higher education in China.This dissertation made a thorough literature review about Chinese University Town and knowledge sharing, applied the result of the evolutionary game model of knowledge sharing in University Town, analyzed factors of knowledge sharing in Chinese University Town and performances of knowledge sharing in University Town, and put forward specific research hypotheses and a theoretical model. This dissertation used a questionnaire survey to acquire research data and applied the statistical tool SPSS17 and LISREL8.70 to have a demonstration analysis for research assumptions and theoretical models. Finally, effective strategies were designed for knowledge sharing mechanism in University Town.The research contents and conclusions are summed up as follow:(1) This dissertation defined the concept of knowledge sharing in University Town, analyzed the mechanism of knowledge sharing in University Town, and explored the motivation of knowledge sharing in University Town. Knowledge sharing in University Town was divided into teaching knowledge sharing in University Town and scientific knowledge sharing in University Town.(2) This dissertation established the evolutionary game model of knowledge sharing of University Town and analyzed its dynamic evolutionary procedure. The results showed that the knowledge sharing strategy choice of Universities would be affected by their teaching knowledge level and research knowledge level, knowledge-sharing degree, the capacity of knowledge absorption and knowledge innovation, the potential risk of knowledge-sharing. The aim of knowledge sharing in University Town was (knowledge-sharing, knowledge-sharing) in the model.(3) Based on an overview of existing literature and the analysis of the evolutionary game model of knowledge sharing in University Town, we think that factors of knowledge sharing in University Town included the characteristics of knowledge, the cluster of University Town and the system and mechanism for University Town three dimensions. Knowledge Innovation, comprehensive strength and education quality of University Town were three aspects of performances of knowledge sharing in University Town. And then fourteen research assumptions were put forward about knowledge sharing in University Town. At the same time, this study also developed a measurement scale of factors and performance s of knowledge sharing in University Town, test results showed that the scale had good reliability and validity.(4) Knowledge sharing model in University Town was built based on these hypothesis propositions. Through a small sample survey the validity and reliability of the draft questionnaire was verified to exclude low-correlation measurement terms and the questionnaire was revised. Then the large sample data were collected, and we conducted exploratory factor analysis, reliability and validity testing for these latent variable factors. The results showed that the evaluations of measurements were able to obey normal distribution, data quality was acceptable, and had a high reliability, good convergent validity and good discriminate validity.(5) Structural equation model was introduced to validate hypothetical propositions of knowledge sharing in University Town. Then teaching knowledge sharing model, research knowledge sharing model and the whole knowledge sharing model in University Town were analyzed and checked, and the original hypothesis model was amended.(6) Indicated the research conclusions and the deficiencies of this dissertation, designed effective strategies for knowledge sharing mechanism in University Town and the promising fields within which the further research would be conducted.The important innovative fruits in this dissertation show as the followings:(1) Knowledge management theory and cluster theory were introduced to the management of China's University Town, which was a new theory perspective on knowledge sharing in University Town. (2) Knowledge sharing model in University Town was made up of knowledge characteristics of University Town, cluster factor, systems and mechanisms and performances of knowledge sharing in University Town. Structural equation model was introduced to validate hypothetical propositions of knowledge sharing in University Town. (3) The factors of knowledge sharing in University Town were summed up, and the result showed that the system and mechanisms had an important effect for knowledge sharing level in University Town. (4) This dissertation validated that the knowledge sharing level in University Town had a significant impact on knowledge innovation, overall strength and education quality of University Town.
