In the era of knowledge economy since the end of 20 th century, knowledge management whose core and base is knowledge, is meant to organize knowledge, accumulate it and develop it by learning, sharing, applying and creating, so as to promote it into the intelligence capital of the organization, and develop continuously its creative ability and its ability to act in emergency. For the members of the organization, knowledge management helps to turn their information materials into more valuable knowledge, which further helps perfect their professional knowledge system, develop their professional quality and capacity, so as to promote effectively their sustainable development, and contribute positively to the achievement and development of the organization. The era of knowledge economy makes new requirement for higher education management. As a typical knowledge-intensive organization, the kernel resource of operation and development for higher education is the knowledge of students and teaching staff. Therefore, how to use this new mode of knowledge management to effectively reorganize various educational knowledge to promote its scientificness and practicality has become a hot topic in education. As an important part of university faculties, counselors shoulder the responsibilities of college students’ ideology education, daily-routine management as well as service to their growth and development, their professionalization has recently been recognized constantly, and has become the ultimate goal of the counselors’ professional development. In March of 2014, the National Educational Ministry issued the Vocational Ability Standards of University Counselors(provisional), which clarifies the directions of counselors’ professionalization again, and provides the theoretical and policy supports for the improvement of their knowledge quality and development of the their professionalization.In the background of such social development and professional development of the counselors, this research takes into consideration the actual situation that both knowledge management and counselors’ professional development have become the hot topic in their own research and practice area, systematically sorts out the inter-relationship between knowledge management and counselors’ professional development and their common petition, analyzes and clarifies the rationality and feasibility of knowledge management inside the counselors’ occupation. This research tries to use knowledge management, this completely new idea and means, to improve the counselors’ knowledge quality effectively and rapidly by adopting a series of measures to optimize and adjust the counselor team, and achieve the ultimate goal of speeding up the counselors’ development of professionalization by the practice of knowledge management.Taking the theories of knowledge management and development of counselors’ professionalization as the base, taking the professionalization development of counselors as the cutting-in point, focusing on the realistic need of team management and professionalization development of college counselors, and using knowledge management ideas, principles, methods and tools, this research studies the knowledge management of college counselors’ professionalization, and makes an effort in clarifying their necessary knowledge quality, analyzing the counselors’ study of professional knowledge, applying and creating of specialized educational knowledge, constructing the knowledge-managing frame that the professionalized counselors should be equipped with, so that the counselors’ professional educational knowledge will be accumulated, updated and innovated in application,so that the team of counselors will better master and use their knowledge inside and outside the organization, so as to organize and carry out activities to promote college students’ ideological and political education, daily-routines management, and their growth and development. At the same time, the developing professionalized counselors will get themselves involved in the carrying out of educational knowledge management, and speed up their pace in the development of specialized educational knowledge, so as to promote their capacity and quality, which plays a guiding, supporting and up-pushing role in their professional development.Based on the Party’s and the Nation’s requirement of professionalization construction of the team of counselors, this research studies the knowledge management of counselors after researching and analyzing the ideal and the actual state of college counselors’ professionalized educational knowledge. Firstly, based on the requirement of knowledge management, beginning from the counselors’ quality and the construction of their organizational structure and culture, the research suggests that the counselors’ professional organization form be bettered, so as to improve their professional working and learning condition, and meet the requirement of implementation of knowledge management; secondly, the research suggests that knowledge management technology construction be carried out gradually to improve the counselors’ knowledge quality and professionalization development, as well as the construction of the operation system and applying management, and research be carried out also on the specific practice of knowledge management in the professional environment of counselors; lastly, based on the information obtained from the periodical assessment of knowledge management, the research suggests the whole process of knowledge management be summed up and reviewed, the next-step problems, from the three aspects of personnel, organizational and cultural construction, it further puts forward relevant suggestions on how to effectively implement and develop counselors’ professionalization.
