Countries rest educational expectation mainly on their school curriculum. Worldwide curriculum reform spread at the new century. Chinese Ministry of Education issued “Outline of basic education Curriculum Reform(for Trial Implementation)” in 2001. This was deemed as “the eighth curriculum reform in basic education”, the milestone of curriculum reform in basic education at 21 st century.The reform has already been for 15 years since 2001. New curriculum experiment in senior high school started in 2004 and lasted for 8 years. All provinces have employed the new curriculum,since Guang Xi province entered. Senior high school new curriculum extended all over the counry since then. The success of curriculum reform not only lies on good design,but also on the curriculum implementation which should be reasonable,sustainbale and sequential. This research aimed at exploring issues about Chinese senior high school curriculum implementation strategies.Research was carried out by the researcher, as well as the participant in this reform. On the one hand,this research explored how was this large scale curriculum experiment implemented and moved forward during these 10 years. What were the strategies and how was their effectivenss? All these studies would help to improve strategy model of senior high school curriculum implementation in the further defelopment reform phase. On the other hand, as the participant who took part in the whole process of senior high school curriculum design, experimental blueprint top-design,implementation and evaluation,reflected on issuses about curriculum implementation strategies. This research focused on the macro strategies of Chinese senior high school curriculum implementation.These strategies were mainly administrative and supplied by educational government, which were worked out based on national research, and served the whole countryside curriculum implementation. Therefore, in this research, the implementation strategies of senior high school curriculum reform were technically about both national and provincial level offered by educational government.This research mainly applied qualitative method,described the events and interpreted the meaning. As the researcher is also the participant in the reform, more details could be explored during the research, which was helpful to understand and interpret data in a proper way. The research built connection between individual and general within phenomenon exhibiting and directly analyzing. In addition, it also described events system in senior high school curriculum implementaion, as well as how did these events construct and relate to each other. The research was carried out based on the researcher’s understanding within phenomenon and facts.Research started from the background of Chinese education curriculum reform in the new century,analyzed the general characteristic of senior high school new curriculum and the basic factors which affected curriculum implementaion in the context of new curriculum experiment. Reviewing all the reform events in these four phases(experimental design,experimental exploration, experimental implementation and improvement), studies were carried on curriculum implementation strategies in senior high school curriculum. Findings were rendered as below: senior high school curriculum reform mainly applied “top-down” strategies which was comprehensive strategy model. The strategies were composed with various clusters which were fitted to Chinese national situation. These strategies were much more suitable and pertinent. Meanwhile, current situation and related factors directly affected effectiveness of curricumlum implementation strategies.It has been 10 years since senior high school curriculum implementation started in 2004, and it’s still in the phase of improving. It’s going to be a new decades for this curriculum implementation.Therefore,reviewing experience and summarizing are much more useful and necessary. Issuse about curriculum implementation should be valued and paid much attention to. More conversation and discussion should be carried out on curriculum implementation strategies, which would improve implementaion quality and applicableness. This is one of the goals in the research. However, improving strategies is also the mission and responsibility for both academics in curriculum theory and practitioners in education. Therefore, suggestions were made based on the findings: Strategies should follow the regularity and periodicity of curriculum reform. Top-design of curriculum implementaion should be further enhanced. Curriculum implementation institutions shoud be empowered. Curriculum management gradually changes into curriculum leadership. The professional support system with Chinese characteristics needs to be improved.
