In this innovation-oriented era,countries and regions in the world attach great importance to innovation.It is a common sense for countries and regions to strengthen national competitiveness through innovation-driven development.The key to improve the international competitiveness of a country is to improve its innovation capability at the very source.Based on different subjects,innovation capability generally can be sorted into several types,such as national innovation capability,regional innovation capability,and enterprise innovation capability.As a matter of fact,the very source of the series of innovation capability is individual innovation capability,which indicates that innovation is actually driven by talents.The innovation capability of doctoral students who receive the highest level of education,plays an important role in China's innovation-driven development process.Therefore,the research on the innovation capability of doctoral students is an essential part in innovation capability research system.Combined with the contemporary requirement of innovation-driven development,This paper integrates theories of various subjects including management science,pedagogy,system science,psychology,and software engineering,and guided by the idea of "putting great importance on solving practical problems",On the basis of combing literatures at home and abroad with the method of bibliometrics such as mapping knowledge domains,this research analyzes the development tendency and dynamic trend of relevant researches on the innovation capability and innovative personalities of doctoral students,and is arranged logically in the order of "raising,analyzing,and solving problems".Above all,based on the innovation theory,Personality factor theory,and innovation capability theory,this research defines the connotation of the innovation capability of doctoral students that the innovation capability embodies innovative personalities of doctoral students,either implicit or explicit,which is a kind of comprehensive capability derived from native and acquired endowments in the innovation process.The research work of this paper is as follows:(1)A hierarchy model of the innovation capability of doctoral students.The research assumes that the innovation capability of doctoral students changes dynamically,and innovative personalities,tendency,potential,manifestation,and results show a relationship of progressive hierarchy:Innovative personalities of doctoral students can be regarded as their innovation DNA to some extent,measured values of which directly reflect the level of the innovation tendency of doctoral students.And then,the innovation tendency reveals the innovation potential of doctoral students.Moreover,when the internal and external factors are coupled to produce resonance,the innovation potential is activated and brings about some certain innovation manifestations.Finally,continuous innovation activities produce innovation results.(2)Feature recognition of the innovation capability of doctoral students.To recognize the features of the innovation capability of doctoral students is both an important challenge in theory and a subject with strong reality.There are various factors that influence the innovation capability of doctoral students to different degrees,including the external factors from society and environment,and the internal factors such as personalities and qualities of students themselves.When external factors accumulate and reach a certain stage,the influence of external factors becomes weak on the innovation capability of doctoral students.However,the internal factors do the exact opposite.In this research,the internal factors are believed to play a vital role on their innovation capability.The feature recognition of the innovation capability of doctoral students in this paper,lay emphasis on the internal factors of individual students.After scientific analyses and rational speculations on the current structural dimension of the innovation capability of doctoral students,the research concludes the major features,screens them with Delphi method,and constructs a four-dimensional space model of the innovation capability of doctoral students,in which the innovation capability of doctoral students mainly consists of innovation quality,teamwork,risk control,and achievement formation.The research is based on the characteristic dimension of innovation ability and innovative practice to construct a four-dimensional space model.To interpret the innovative ability of doctoral students based on space perspective.(3)An evaluation model of the innovation capability of doctoral students.Based on the four-dimensional characteristic of doctoral students' innovation ability.,this research develops evaluation indicators of the innovation capability of doctoral students,in which structural equation high-order modeling and analytic hierarchy process are combined to determine the weight of indicators.This indicator system can be used to evaluate the current innovation capability of doctoralstudents,and thus gives those educational institutes with doctoral programs a theoretical basis and reform ideas for innovation capability cultivation of doctoral students.(4)Tendency evaluation of the innovation capability of doctoral students.Based on the theories of psychology,pedagogy,and management science,this research applies the revised Cartel's Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire(16PF)(Revised Edition)to test the personality of doctoral students,and analyzes the impact degree of the individual factors on their innovation capability with the theory of grey target contribution degree so as to calculate and obtain quantitative values of the gray impact degree.Based on the theory of grey target contribution degree,this paper provides a nine factor model of innovation personalities of doctoral students,that is,IP = f(B,H,G,Q1,Q2,A,I,F,O).Wherein B stands for reasoning;H stands for social boldness;G stands for rule-consciousness;Q1 stands for openness to change;Q2 stands for self-reliance;A stands for warmth;I stands for sensitivity;F stands for liveness;O stands for apprehension.Therefore,the tendency of the innovation capability of doctoral students can be evaluated.This research demonstrates this model based on evidence,and thus verifies the reliability and validity of this model.(5)WeChat-based tendency evaluation system of the innovation capability of doctoral students.This research provides a design solution for a WeChat-based tendency evaluation system of the innovation capability of doctoral students.This system enables education institutes,supervisors,and doctoral students to dynamically catch up with doctoral students' tendency of innovation capability,Help them improve knowledge structure,and effectively improve innovation capability.Meanwhile,this system can also be used as a reference tool to test the innovation capability tendency of doctoral applicants in the recruitment of doctoral candidates.
