Fault isolation and supply restoration is main function of Feeder Automation that is important to the improvement of reliable electric energy. In conventional feeder automation scheme, fault isolation depends on master station or substation. But the quality of electric energy provided by above scheme is not very good. Hierarchical controlling is a trend of feeder automation technique. In the thesis, hierarchical controlling mode is discussed in details, and new robust control scheme is put forward. Furthermore, the advantages and disadvantages of many techniques of feeder automation are compared, and a new protective scheme is advanced at last basing on theory of system protection. The main contents of the thesis are shown as follows:Many control modes of Feeder Automation are compared, the advantages and disadvantages of tradition feeder control mode are analyzed, the best control mode of Feeder Automation is put forward: hierarchical controlling mode aiming at one feeder line, including realizing fault-recognizing, fault-separating in terminal of distribution.The work theory of system protection is introduced in detail in the thesis. Through lots of experiments of simulation and dynamic simulation, we draw a conclusion that this system owns an excellent foreground.Backup protection of system protection is discussed. When main protection does not work, backup protection can cut-off fault within a limit time all the same, which improves electric reliability.
