Economic globalization gives the great impact to the field of culture. The tendency of the worldwide culture is be coming more and more similar. However, the diversity and variety of different nationalities fade away. Based on this background, it is important to maintain the local traditional cultures and national characteristics in modern architectures.Absorbing rational and positive factors from traditional architecture culture, vernacularism architecture puts it into practice and endows with new vigor and vitality. Southwest multinational area possesses varied and colorful national cultures and unique ecological system. It offers abundant information which vernacularism architecture could use for reference. Thus it is necessary to judge which is still practical and which is worth to carry on in modern architecture. Meanwhile, international Regionalism provides it with satisfactory answer for modem architecture to match with culture globalization Similarity drive.
