Feeder Automation is important for Distribution Automation to the improvement of reliable electric energy. The advantages and disadvantages of many techniques of feeder automation are compared, and a new protective scheme is advanced, The main contents of the thesis are shown as follows:Many control modes of Feeder Automation are compared, the advantages and disadvantages of tradition feeder control mode are analyzed, the best control mode of Feeder Automation is put forward: protection based on communication.The work theory of protection based on communication and its backup protection is introduced in this thesis. Fault-recognizing and fault-separating can be done swiftly, so the system owns an excellent foreground.In some distribution network which has no communication, a scheme which uses the user subsection switch to deal with the fault is put forward.
