In the modern society, people and country could present the giftmutually. The present packing design also appears important especially.The different country, nationality and area have different cultural custom,when design presents packing, we should attach importance to the propertyof cultural.The present packing design has its unique cultural symbol; it transmits thepsychic can again the materiality. The present packing design also have thedifferent with the packing design of ordinary commodity, it mainly transmitthe cultural connotation of present gift.Now in the market, the present packing is more and more. There isadvantageous in the promotion present packing overall value and thepersonal status in the research to the cultural property of present packingdesign.This article unifies the method of the cultural anthropology and imagestudy; discuss the culture symbol, the relationship of the present packingdesign and culture. Finally obtains the particularity of present packingdesign, namely it is opposite to the cultural characteristic which has in otherpacking. Emphasize the particularity of present packing from the designangle. The full text divides to four parts: The first part elaborated therelationship between the concept of present packing and custom andetiquette. The second part has emphasis on discussed the main point ofpresent packing, the ritual culture and the present packing expense trend.The third part has studied the present packing characteristic, symbol andmetaphorical of design culture. The fourth part elaborated the relationshipbetween present packing characteristic of modern and the latter modern andthe design culture.Above elaboration had expounded the culture characteristic of presentpacking design in theory, it may enrich the content of present packingthrough the characteristic of present packing cultural research. The researchof cultural characteristic may enable the people to have the deeper levelcognition and the appreciation to it, develops a broader space for laterresearch and the artistic design. Along with the modern economydevelopment, the present becomes promotes of people to exchangesensation to each other which the sentiment cannot be lack. Because theappearance in large number of the company engaged in the present packingspecially, the type of present packing is richer. Studies its cultural propertycould helpful in enhancing the overall image of present packing. Thepresent packing is different with the ordinary commodity packing; it shouldmanifest the"ritual"in the design culture. It is not only enriching thepacking theory, but also provides convenience for the scholarly research and practice design so much the better in research to ritual culture in thepackage.
