Gerbera jiamesonii is one of the five famous cut-flowers in the world. It is verysuitable for viewing and admiring as it has big beautiful flower and comely straight stem. And it has high cutting-flower efficiency and long growing time in water, so it is very popular. The routine propagating method for Gerbera jiamesonii is single propagation, which is slow, high cost, and low-efficiency. It often leads to serious variety-degeneration. Due to its short seed-life and low seed-germinating ratio, it is very short supply on market. Currently most of the fine Gerbera jiamesonii varieties are importing from foreign countries with high price. Using the rapid reproduction method of Gerbera culturing not only can reproduce a lot of seed-seedling also can avoid the variety-degeneration problem caused by single-reproduction and seed-reproduction. This study will illustrate some key factors that may affect rapid reproduction throughout the whole Gerbera-culturing process. The final goal is to establish a low-cost and large-scale rapid-reproduction system for Gerbera production. The receptacle, stem apex, petiole and spire of the non-infected Gerbera plants grown in greenhouse are selected in this study. The plants were growing on MS basic medium with 6-BA and IAA in different concentration. 6-BA and IAA are used to induce the explanation to produce calli and differentiate buds. Our results show only receptacle, stem apex and petiole can differentiate buds, spire can just get calli. The best inducing-medium for receptacle is MS+ 10 mg/L 6-BA +0.1 mg/L IAA, for stem apex is MS + 10 mg/L 6-BA +0.5 mg/L IAA, and for petiole is MS + 2 mg/L 6-BA +0.2 mg/L IAA.The rapid propagation medium is fine with MS +1mg/L 6-BA +0.5 mg/L IAA in the beginning, and MS+0.5 mg/L 6-BA + 0.25 mg/L IAA is the best one after three generations, which can make high-reproducing coefficient and strong, green seedlings. These seedlings are very suited to re-and culture produce root. The best rooting-medium for Gerbera test-tube plantlet is 1/2MS+0.03 mg/L NAA+ 0.02 mg/L PP333.When the Gerbera test-tube plantlets are transplanted, the best medium is 3 turf: 2 vermiculite: 1 margarite for against bacteria and can get more plant from plantlets.
