【Objective】Through investigating the expression of PTTG (human pituitary tumor transfo- rming gene) and b-FGF (basic fibroblast growth factor) in tissues of different cervical diseases ,to study the relation between them and the clinical pathological parameter, and to analyze the correlation between PTTG and b-FGF.According to researching the relation between the two factors and development of cervical carcinoma, further theoretical evidence was hope to be found for diagnosis and therapy of cervical carcinoma.【Methods】To collect 15 cases of chronic cervicitis, 17 cases of CINⅠ, 14 cases of CINⅡ, 12 cases of CINⅢ, 30 cases of ICC(These cases were classified according to clinical stage as follow: 25 cases of stageⅠ-Ⅱ,5 cases of upon stageⅢ.Histology differentiation were as foll- ow:21 cases of well and moderate differentiation, 9 cases of poor and moderate differentiat- ion). The expression of PTTG and b-FGF were detected by using immunohistochemistry S-P method in 88 cases of different cervical tissues.【Result】1. In tissues of chronic cervicitis,CIN and ICC,the positive rates of PTTG were 33.33%(5/15), 88.37%(38/43) and 90.00%(27/30).Comparing with the group of chronic cervicitis, the expression of PTTG in the group of CIN and ICC had significant difference(p<0.05).There wasn't significant difference between the group of CIN and ICC(p>0.05).The same was among CINⅠ,CINⅡand CINⅢ.2. In tissues of chronic cervicitis,CIN and ICC, the positive rates of b-FGF were 46.7%(7/15), 81.4%(35/43) and 83.3%(25/30).Comparing with the group of chronic cervicitis, the expression of b-FGF in the group of CIN and ICC had significant difference(p<0.05).But between the group of CIN and ICC there wasn't significant difference. The same was among CINⅠ, CINⅡand CINⅢ.3. The positive rates of PTTG and b-FGF in the chronic cervicitis, CIN and ICC presented a trend of gradual rising .Through the way of Bivariate, a closely positive correlation was found between PTTG and b-FGF (r=0.908, P<0.05; rs=0.914, P<0.05).【Conclusion】High expression of PTTG and b-FGF in ICC may be molecule signs of cervical carcinoma. May PTTG have participated in the evolution of tumor through raising b-FGF,concluted from the relativity of PTTG and b-FGF.
