There are five aspects of skill training in the acquisition of second language: listening, speaking, reading, writing, translating. From the perspective of language communication, speaking is especially important. Through tens of years of development, teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has formed a teaching mode with unique characteristics, and problems have also appeared. From survey among students and teachers of primary level class of Chinese as a foreign language, and in light of analysis over present spoken Chinese teaching, we have found that the main existing problem in speaking Class lies in following points: students' enthusiasm are not fully activated, and they don't pay enough attention to speaking Class; the teaching overemphasizes on vocabulary and grammar, and ignores expression; the features of speaking class are not put in full display; there is lack in interaction in class teaching. Thus, a reform in teaching method is strongly required. Task-type language teaching is one feasible way to improve and solve the above problems, for it's directly oriented to training student's communicative ability.
