Motivated by the writing class of Chinese as a second language, text teaching and text theories, we have examined the errors of grammatical cohesion method and its characteristics of distribution, which are made by intermediate Indonesian learners of Chinese as a second language. In current research, we took seventy compositions as our materials by means of error analysis, statistical methods and combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. We found that these errors mainly show up in ellipsis, anaphora, time word and aspect, especially in ellipsis. Moreover, this dissertation gives some solutions for errors. In the end, through the analysis of the findings and related results, we formulated a hypothesis: it should be an effective way to reduce students' text errors by using combination of Standard Text Approach and Process Approach, Component Appending method and Component Deleting method. |
