From Pingcheng To Luoyang

The Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 386-534) established by Xianbei Toba is the first minority regime which entered the Central Plains and unified North China in the history.It, which is the dynasty between Wei,Jin and Sui,Tang dynasties, plays a positive role in the formation and unification process of Chinese nation.So far,Northern Wei Dynasty graves having published articles reach to more than 390. The new information makes the research on Northern Wei Dynasty tombs go deep, but at present the research results mainly focus on some monographic studies such as clothes of pottery figures, pottery patterns and epitaph. In view of the fact that grave material is ample, the author thinks it is necessary to comprehensive study.From Pingcheng period to Luoyang period, Xianbei Toba broke through barbaric primitive cultural traditions gradually and accepted the fundamental value system and life-style of the civilized society, We may see the circuitous course from the evolution of Northern Wei Dynasty grave.By the way of archaeology,the author analyses on Northern Wei Dynasty graves is precisely based on the kind of history culture evolution process of the minority.The thesis consists of six parts:Chapter 1 ,Discovery and Distribution of Northern Wei Dynasty Grave.Chapter 2 ,Research Status of Northern Wei Dynasty Grave.Chapter 3 ,Main Research Material and Related Explanation.Chapter 4 .Typologies Analysis on Graves in Northern Wei Dynasty.Chapter 5 Origin and Evolution of Northern Wei Dynasty Grave.Chapter 6 Comparative Study on Tombs of Pingcheng Period and Luoyang PeriodAmong them, Chapter 4 and Chapter 6 are the main body.By typology comparison and analysis , We may know clearly that the culture and tradition of Xianbei play a leading role at this time from Northern Wei Dynasty Grave of Pingcheng period .With the fact that the emperor Tai united the Huanghe River,the cultural factors of nation Han started getting involved in every part of Xianbei,but Xianbe was still the mainstream of social system. Their recipient and recognization to Han culture is at the surface stage.However,Xianbei primitive culture came to an end after a period of quantitative accumulation of Pingcheng time,from conflict to integration, Xianbei had the culture taking the ruler demand in politics as the power at Luoyang period.At this time, Northern Wei Dynasty is an integration among which Han culture is the mainstay, of Xianbei culture and foreign culture. The author tries to verify the process of national amalgamation and cultural integration by the way of archaeology in the thesis.
