After 1970, ecological crisis has been a major problem people care in common within the world. It causes extensive discussion of human centrism and non-human centrism within the world, and whether nature has intrinsic value has become the focus that human centrism and non-human centrism debate. The debate of theoretical circles on the issue of the intrinsic value of nature constitutes an important element of studies of environmental ethics today. Human centrist mainly thinks on the angle of axiology: human being is mainstay in the world, the intrinsic value of human being is the source of all other values, nature is only the tool of human being, and it has not intrinsic value. The starting point and destination of human centrism are always the interest and self-improvement of human being, so we can not simply regard human centrism as a derogatory word. Both the inchoate human centrism which made human being shake off the shackles of nature, and improved modern human centrism are in the interest of human's development. So it is not human's original intention for them to evolve into extreme human centrism.Non-human centrism develops in the course of rejecting and refuting the ideas of human centrism. Non-human centrist thinks that nature not only has value, but also has intrinsic value, and its intrinsic value should get the people's recognition and respect. They think Western philosophy always insisting on incorporating the intrinsic value in a unique category of human being is wrong, and creating new ethics must break through that.Intrinsic value is not owned solely by human being, and it should belong to the whole nature. So non-human centrism advocates expanding the scope of our moral, and bringing nature into our moral concern, which results in the three major schools of non-human centrism: the right view of animal, the center viewof life and ecology. Non-human centrism encounters difficulties in the course of demonstrating the rationality of the intrinsic value, but the implication of the issue debate of the intrinsic value is significant. It shows the reflection of human being bout their own behavior and idea, which makes people realize human beings belong to nature, a kind of creature that exchanges material and energy with surroundings Therefore, as a moral species, we have the responsibility and obligation to manage the home planet.Non-human centrism ascribes the ecological crisis to human centrism, they reached a consensus on the issue of environmental protection in the course of debate, and in the subsequent debate they found that they both had their own limitation and reasonableness. In fact, their goals are the same, and they are aimed at the survival of human being in their sole homes. The difference of the perspective and the logical starting point led to the long-lasting disputes. Therefore, human centrism and non-human centrism reach the syncretism from the difference, and they will both rebuild the harmony between human being and nature together, and finally they will make environmental ethics reach a new realm. This paper is divided into four parts: the first part mainly analyzes two semantics of the environmental ethics: human centrism and non-human centrism, and the focus of the origin and the debate of the struggle between human centrism and non-human centrism; The second part analyzes nature's intrinsic value from the perspective of human centrism and the dilemma that human centrism met; The third part analyzes the intrinsic value view of nature and its three schools of non-human centrism, and the dilemma non-human centrism met; Finally, this paper analyzes the solution to the dilemma of human centrism and non-human centrism, and the trend of the environmental ethics.
