Based on the concept, structure, developing model,assessment scales and the current research situation about forgiveness,this study revised foreign Forgiveness Scale of Hearland in the light of cultural background and made a preliminary investigation into Chinese high school students'forgiveness. With the help of Interpersonal Trust Scales and The Self-Esteem Scale, the relationships among forgiveness,interpersonal trust and self-esteem were explored among students from high school. SPSS 11.5 and AMOS 5.0 were adopted to analyze the data, and exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, analysis of reliability and validity,correlation analysis and analysis of multiple linear regression and so on were conducted. The main findings were as follows:1. The reliability and validity of the revised Forgiveness Scale for high school students had met the requirements of Surveying.2. Overall, high school students' forgiveness was much high, but there was still a certainpercentage of students with low forgiveness.3. Demographically,the high school students differed remarkably in forgiveness in multiple dimensions. The main differences were as follows: on total forgiveness, the female students were significantly bener than male students, the without siblings were significantly bener than siblings; on emotional forgiveness of others, the female students were significantly bener than male students, the without siblings were significantly bener than siblings; on behavior forgiveness of others, the ordinary high school students were significantly better than key high school students; on forgiveness of self, different high school students did not show significant difference.4. Self-esteem,interpersonal trust and forgiveness were closely related. Self-esteem was in significant negative correlmion with interpersonal trust; interpersonal trust was in significant positive correlmion with forgiveness and self-esteem was in significant negative correlation with forgiveness.5. Interpersonal trust had an impact on self-esteem and forgiveness , and it played an intermediary role in the relationship between self-esteem and forgiveness.Based on the study above, two recommendations were put forward to enhance the high school students' mental health:First, we should help high school students to deal with interpersonal conflicts, conducting positive interpersonal contact and communication to improve their levels of interpersonal trust.Second, we should do some forgiveness training in school psychological tutorship classes, in order to promote the forgiveness ability for students and improve their mental healt.
