This text study the theory and methodology of optimal allocation of regional land resource. Allocation's aim is distributing land resources into different usages by combining the measures of land management and land use structure for producing better benefit in social, economical, environmental aspects. Optimization is selection the best model among designed models, which distributing limited land resources into different use in special and temporal, combining with other economy resource (manpower, capital, technology), in order to produce maximum products and services, as well as to protect environment.YIJINHUOLUO banner was taken as a case study for application of the theory and methodology of optimal allocation of regional land resource. Firstly data and material were collected by farmers interview, field investigation, statistic data, natural and environmental material collection. Secondly, land suitability was evaluated by supporting of GIS. Finally, the models of optimal allocation of regional land resources was selected by combining the result of land suitability evaluation and the measures of land management defined by certain inputs and techniques. The author believed that the model of optimal allocation of regional land resources would result in proper agricultural products, maximum profit, environment protection and sustainable agriculture development within smaller cultivated land.
