With the development of new economy, many new subjects have been built up; meantime many old subjects have changed in both theory and method, in this way subjects extend their application fields and innovate their application ways. The traditional value chain, which is put forward by Michael. Porter, can not meet the requirements of corporation competition, especial for some multinational enterprises, the business processes have been transformed from inner enterprise to exterior enterprise, from material flow to knowledge flow, from tangibility to intangibility. The study of the new transform is very helpful to reform the theory of traditional value chain and to improve the key capability of the enterprises as well as their competition.This paper studies the characteristics of value chain with the background of newly economy firstly. The resource of key capability, characteristics and strategies as well as its development trend of multinational enterprise are analyzed. Based on the above analysis, this paper puts forward the strategies to improve Chinese enterprise value chain, which can be seen as an example in theory and experiment for the management of Chinese enterprises.In chapter 1, the aim and content of this study are explained. In chapter 2, it mainly studies the structure and characteristics of enterprise value chain, meanwhile posts the relationship among the management of enterprise value chain and key capability as well as sustentions development. In the next chapter 3, the methods and developing trends of value chains in the situation of new economy are studied firstly, the new characteristics of enterprise value chain and model of enterprise knowledge chain are mainly investigated. Then in the following chapter 4, it puts forward the model and strategies of value chain for multinational enterprises based on the analysis of advantage and disadvantage as well as its developing trend of key capability in multinational enterprises. In chapter 5, it studies the influence of value chain in multinational enterprises on the world economy and especially the world division of labour, then brings forward the tacticsbetween the national enterprises and developing countries. In the last chapter 6, it studies the general structure and its administration condition of Chinese multinational enterprises; the existing problems in multinational enterprises are analyzed subsequently, at last it gives the strategy of business process reengineering of Chinese multinational enterprises.
