Bashang region of Hebei province is representatively vulnerable ecological environment zone of farming-pasture ecotone in the north of China. It also is ecological barrier of Beijing. The status of ecological environment in bashang region is very important to environment security of Beijing. So bashang region becomes a focus what the government and scientists study. Bordering shandianhe river, bashang region is compartmentalized as east bashang and west bashang .Natural ecosystems of east bashang and west bashang have marked difference. But now in ChirtS the studys of bashang region mostly are how to protect ecological environment andlo develop eco-agriculture from the point of all of bashang region. Those studys pay less attention to the difference of east bashang and west bashang. In virtue of emergy theory, this paper will start with the difference of east bashang and west bashang, and analyse the agro-eco-economic system. Based on the conclusion of emergy analysis, this paper will discuss how to develop eco-agriculture of east bashang and west bashang.Firstly, this paper diagnoses the agro-eco-economic systems of east bashang and west bashang. It is found that light and heat resources of west bashang are richer than those of east bashang. Then the climatic potential productivity is estimated.The photosynthesis potential productivity and light- temperature potential productivity of west bashang are higher than those of east bashang.But light- temperature-water potential productivity of west bashang is lower than that of east bashang.Secondly, emergy is a new method to evaluate nature capital and ecosystem services. Different kinds and irrelative energy are converted into solar emergy. Having identical dimension, emergy analysis theory overcomes the lack of energy analysis method. The agro-eco-economic systems of east bashang and west bashang are evaluated by using energy and emergy analysis theory. The conclusion of emergy analysis of bashang region are as follows: (1) Net emergy yield ratio and the input of, purchased emergy are lower;(2)The environmental loading ratio rises year after yearThirdly, based on those conclusions, four suggestions are put forward: (1) Basic energy sources of the agro-eco-economic system in bashang region should be enlarged;(2) Industry framework should be adjusted and outside environment where life exists should be improved to elevate the productivity of the system;(3) Newenergy sources can be exploited and the inefficient loss should be reduced;(4) The environmental loading ratio should be reduced by adjusting the framework of input-purchased emergy.Finally, this paper respectively discusses how to develop eco-agriculture in east bashang and west bashang. Suggestions are put forward: (1) West bashang should build on stock raising , preventing wind and riveting sand; (2) East bashang should combine stock raising and forestry, and irrigated farming can be suitably developed. Based on the characteristic of west bashang ,four type are designed: (l)Preventing wind and riveting sand type;(2) Courtyard type building on edible fungus;(3)Keeping water and soil type;(4)Combining farmings pasture and industry type. Based on the characteristic of east bashang, beside (2)(3)two types, two type are designed: Combining farming > pasture and industry and grass turism type, Sightseeing agriculture.
