Currently, China is dedicated to establishing the socialistic market economy system, following the route of socialism that has Chinese feature. Along with the more and more thorough reformation opening, especially China has joined WTO, its enterprises, especially the large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises, not only have to face the invigorative and increasingly powerful group-owned and privately owned enterprises' challenge, but also will be entangled in the direct global competition. How do China's enterprises face such a kind of ruthless competitive situation? Which levels of China's enterprises themselves' strength actually are? How do China's enterprises quickly enhance their strength? All these above are the urgent and important problems for each corporation in China. This paper is written from the whole strategy's point of view for China's enterprises, analyzing the origin and formation of enterprises' actual strength, and indicating the evaluation system of it which is based on the strategy, which will help enterprises realize their true strength level objectively, systematically and scientifically, and have instructive significance for enterprises to make their whole strategy.This paper is consisted of five parts; the basic logical structure is as follows: Chapter 1: the definition and connotation of enterprises' actual strength. Through introducing Machael E.Porter's competition theory and analyzing the enterprises' ability theory, this part puts forward the standpoint that enterprises' actual strength is defined by the ability of achieving the enterprises' target in continuously changing environment through allocating and creating the resources. This chapter also analyzes the connotation of enterprises' real power.Chapter 2: the origin of enterprises' actual strength. Through discussing the influence factors of enterprises' actual strength, the 2nd chapter indicates that the origin of enterprises' actual strength includes both the interior and exterior. Also based on the analysis of the worth chain of the enterprises' internal management system, this section construes that both the internal direct and indirect origin forms enterprises' competition power and ability. It is the foundation of establishing the evaluation system of enterprises' actual strength.Chapter 3: the formation of the enterprises' actual strength. Through studying the formation process of enterprises' real power, we get the model of it, offer a calculation function for evaluation, and analyze the formation system of it, which provides the reference method for breeding and promoting enterprises' real power.Chapter 4: the evaluation system for enterprises' real strength. According to the relevant evaluation principle, analyze the evaluation guide line, and bring the evaluation system.Chapter 5: the evaluation process of enterprises' actual strength. Adopting the clustering analysis method, this chapter brings the detailed evaluation process of enterprises' actual strength.
