Comparative Study On Urban Competitive Capacity Of Jinan And Qingdao

21th century is the urban century. The competition between countries and companies areshifting to the competition among cities. Reorganization and development of Urban functionand structure, Urban advantage and inferior position, are closely linked with competitivenessof cities. In china, eastern coastland is the major clustering of cities. Both Jinan and Qingdaoare central cities not only in Shandong but also in Chinese eastern coastland, which havedifferences and similarities in many aspects. Keeping in competition and cooperation, the twocities can greatly promote the economic development of Shandong province to realize thecoordinated development of greater space.Based on advantage comparative analysis of Jinan and Qingdao, with the aid of thequantitative study and qualitative analysis, the thesis mainly analyzes the developing statusquo and developing potential of urban competitive capacity. And then, the thesis puts forwardsome measures to promote the integrated competitive capacity of regional central cities. Thethesis is composed of seven parts.Ⅰ: Introduction. This part consists of four sub-parts, which are the differentiatingconcept of urban competitive capacity, the connotation of urban competitive capacity, thesignificance and purpose of the thesis, the researching methods. By comprehending theconcept of urban competitive capacity, the significance, purpose and method of studying areexpounded.Ⅱ: Comparative study on theory model of urban competitive capacity. Based oncomparatively analyzing the foreign theory model (national competitive capacity model partlyfrom MichaelE·Porter and IMD) and the domestic theory model(urban value chain model,bowstring model of), difference is found.Ⅲ: Index system construction of evaluating urban competitive capacity. The thesisdesigns the indicator system of urban competitive capacity including 44 indexes.
