The international relation study from culture view has been emphasized by more scholars after the Cold War with the raise of the role of culture. It not only expands the study horizon of the international politics and diploma strategies, but also benefits the exploration to intricate international relations. Geoculture, being one of key elements of the overall national strength, has great effect on the diploma strategy and policy. This paper aims to give suggestion to develop the China-Japan bilateral relations by analyzing the geoculture sector in China and Japan respectively.The paper is mainly divided into four parts:The first part illustrates the concept of the geoculture. The geoculture is an unique cultural system which formed by an unique society with common context and special character in the particular space affected by geography. The characteristic of the geoculture is as one of the elements which consist of the comprehensive national power, geoculture has deeply influence on the national diplomatic strategy.The second part analyzes the different geoculture in China and Japan. Taking the Confucianism as the core, the culture of "Hehe", which means peace and proper, represents the soul of china geoculture. It also has continuity and obturating characteristic. Absorbency and innovation is the trait of the Japan geoculture which taking the Japanism as the core and embodying the collectivism。The third part argues the influences of the geoculture on China and Japan's diplomatic strategy respectively. The diplomatic strategy of china embodies the moderate thoughts of Chinese tradition culture while the diplomatic strategy of Japan shows the dependency and brinkmanship.The last part tries to give suggestion for the development of China-Japan relations. Both of the two countries should strengthen the culture exchange to develop the bilateral relations though there are benefits and conflicts between them.
