With the social and economic development, the requirement of people in public fire safety service became higher. However, the current fire prevention and control mechanisms are lagging behind. Through the analyses on the fire system, legal system and awareness, etc. this paper pointed out the the principal contradiction within this problem. In order to improve the existing fire prevention and control mechanisms, the paper proposed several solutions such as to reform the system, to improve the mechanism and the legal system, and to strengthen the foundation for the use of market instruments and other measures and countermeasures.
