Resilience is difficult to operate but the concept is not difficult to learn. With the growing concern of positive psychology, resilience research become one of the hottest subjects in Western countries in recent years, but related empirical study in China is very few. The paper gives out a reasonable contemporary resilience structure of fireman,65 of whom were asked by open-ended questionnaire,454 pre-test questionnaired,424 formally sampled, through three times' exploratory, factor analysis and revisions. The writer also "fireman resilience scale" and have tested its reliability and validity and investigated resilience traits factors concerning gender, grades, service life, the number of features and awards, recruitment type. Findings are mainly listed as below:(1)fireman resilience is a multi-dimensional psychological structure that contains the "active self-awareness", "military interpersonal support," "family support" and "emotional regulation"(2)The writer formulate. of vision "fireman resilience scale." on the base of reliance theories and ideologies.454 cadets conducted a questionnaire survey results had proved its great internal consistency coefficient(Cronbach a coefficient), split-half reliability and content validity, construct validity, reliability and validity and 424 survey participants the results of confirmatory factor analysis showed its good construct validity. Empirical model basically matches theoretical concept and the writer suggests the scale be applied for resilience assessment.(3)Overall, significant resilience differences lie between firemen according to their gender, and service life. Firewomen show much better resilience than firemen, conscripts rank low scale than corporal do.(4)There are significant gender differences on dimensions of military interpersonal support, family support, emotional regulation and women score significantly higher. There is a clear grade difference on interpersonal support and family support dimension, both freshmen and sophomores scored significantly higher than the third-year students on interpersonal support and freshmen beat third-year students again on the latter dimension. Significant service life differences are also observed on Positive self-awareness, military interpersonal support dimension, corporal and sergeant show much better resilience than the conscripts. The number of meritorious awards affect a lot on soldiers'"Positive self-awareness", Soldiers awarded more than once show much better resilience than those who are never or no more than once awarded.Recruitment differences are shown on "Positive self-awareness" and "military interpersonal support" in the way that students recruited for their earthquake-relief merits scores much higher than ordinary students sources.
