Research On Information Management Of College Teaching Archives

As the development of information technology and gradual penetration of college educational system reform, colleges and the society use teaching archives more and more frequently. But the current concept, mode and method on management cannot adapt to the need at this time. So the new theory of information management on college teaching archives arises and colleges improve the management method of teaching archives basing on information theory to realize the information management of teaching archives. Influenced by the traditional concept and management mode over a long period of time, the current information management condition of college teaching archives is unsatisfactory. To analyze the restraining factors, the author undertook a survey on the current condition about information management of college teaching archives in Henan, which includes computer hardware allocation, software application, the construction of archives information resources, qualification requirement and so on. Basing on the survey data and using reasoning method comprehensively, the article concludes the main reasons which influence information management of college teaching archives: closed management mode, low service level, scarce funds, old equipment, low ability on applying information technology and so on. Therefore, the author put forward some suggestions: changing the concept, spreading propaganda to win the leaders'support, applying headed control idea to enhance the management on electronic files, increasing funds, strengthening the construction on software and hardware, and improving the quality of the archivists. In addition, it put forward an idea: collecting comprehensive teaching management system to promote information management of teaching archives.
