In 2009, there was a merit pay reform in Chinese compulsory education system, which sharply increased teacher's salary. Moreover, it was well-known by bringing merit pay into base pay of teachers in primary schools. This movement is well recognized as a dynamic part to pay salary to teachers. The purpose of this reform is to build a new performance evaluation system without simple and rough manner before. However, there are still some problems in the new one, such as lack of transparency, equality or triteness. In that case, the merit pay cannot act as positively as it should do. In order to optimize the whole performance evaluation system, the writer is taking. Kunming Yu Hong Primary School as a subject.Problems in Yu Hong Primary School have general and representative significance. Based on theories of performance evaluation, the writer analyzes situations in Yu Hong Primary School first, takes efforts on problems and their courses through a thorough survey, use 360 degree assessment to optimize evaluation objects, use KPI to analyze to show key indicators in each position, take advantage, the optimal contrast method to weigh proper proportion, and finally shape a new teacher performance evaluation system according to actual situation of Yu Hong Primary School. The writer is hoping that this dissertation will supply some methods of performance evaluation in primary schools.
