According to the current development trend in higher education in China, undergraduate tutorial system will be an important trend in the development of undergraduate education model. Because of making the teaching and educating specific, systematic, the undergraduate tutorial system helps strengthen the ideological education of college students, helps students set personal goals, and helps to improve the overall quality of higher education. Currently, more than 170 colleges and universities which include various levels and types are implementing this system in all of China. Undergraduate tutorial system has achieved considerable success, but from a practical point of view, most colleges and universities implements the tutorial system still in the early exploration stage, and there are many problems during the operation. This thesis argues that the underlying reason is that there are still irrational factors in the undergraduate tutorial system. Only insight into these problems, we can find appropriate ways to optimize the undergraduate tutorial system to ensure that the normative operation, efficiency and orderliness.This thesis focuses on the implementation and optimization of the undergraduate tutorial system and optimization. By introducing the current status of implementation of undergraduate tutorial system, analyzing the problems, and discussing the causes of the problems , this paper puts forward some countermeasures to optimize the tutorial system.This thesis is divided into five parts. The introduction discusses the reason and significance of the topic, reviews and assessments the status of the research of undergraduate tutorial system at home and abroad, and illustrates the main ideas and research methods of this thesis. The second part defines the concept of the undergraduate tutorial system, analyzes the necessity for the implementation of the undergraduate tutorial system. The third part describes the development of undergraduate tutorial system at home and abroad. The forth part describes the status of implementation of undergraduate tutorial system, and based on the survey of the implementation of undergraduate tutorial system in Department of Economics of Henan University and the existing research findings, this thesis summarizes the problems in the current implementation of undergraduate tutorial system; Finally, based on the current undergraduate tutorial system implementation plan, the thesis analyzes the underlying causes of existing problems in undergraduate tutorial system. Based on the above analysis, the fifth part proposes optimization strategies for the key point in the implementation of the undergraduate tutorial system.
