The study aims to explore the competency model of full-time community education teacher in Shanghai. Based on literature review and job analysis,a disscussion on the ability and the quality of personality psychology of community education teacher was made. Then, using Behavioral Event Interview (BEI) as the main research method, collecting the key events to build the competency model of full-time community education teacher.Two models were constructed,one for excellent full-time community education teacher,and the other for general one. The results will be applied to the hiring and training, assessing and evaluating,making professional development t and individual career planning for community education teachersIt contains 6 chapters;Chapter 1 introduces the research backgrounds,targets, and significance.Chapter 2 introduces the theory of competency and competency model.And then make a literature review.on competency model of teacher,competency model of community educator.Chapter3 deseribes the research design, including research contents, processes and methods.Chapter 4 makes a discussion on the ability and the quality of personality psychology of community education teacherChapter 5 introduces the construction of competency model,including the process of BEI,analysis of survey results,discussion of the structure and contents of the model.Chapter 6 deseribes the reflection on research methods,research processes,research results,and the prospects for future research as well.
