The teachers' education that made a start in the seventeenth century always changes, both in content and in form with the development of society. And the reformation of curriculum is the most important means to answering the changes of situation and occupies the key position in reformation of teachers' education. After the Second World War, the people attach importance to education and criticize-the quality of education. This is bound to relate to the quality of teachers. So governments carry out the reformation of teachers ' education, both in form , content and ideal. Through the reflection on the ideal of teachers' education, the scholars and officials reach agreement on the teachers' professionalization. As a result, teachers' professionalization becomes the guiding ideology of the reformation of teachers' education. In our country, the raising of the ideal of quality education and the reformation of comprehensive curriculum in the elementary education set a still higher demand on teachers. But many questions exit in the teachers colleges which train teachers for the elementary education, which consist of the confused ideas about the nature of teachers' education and the courses offered in teachers colleges. This situation can't suit the trend of the development of international teachers' education and meet the needs of the reformation in the elementary education. So we must reform our teacher-training system of curriculum. This article constructs a new curriculum with the guidance of teachers' professionalization and the practice of the reformation in the elementary education.In Part I , the author simply narrates the different forms of teachers in the distinct development stages. The efforts made by the international societies for teachers' professionalization make teachers known to a vocation. The teachers' professionalization has become a tendency of the development of teachers' education. And the author expounds the efforts made by people to improve teachers' professionalization, which consistsof two aspects. Improving individual quality of a teacher has become the development direction of reformation of teachers' education in the world. Then through comparing and analyzing the.different views on individual quality of a teacher put forward by scholars both at home and abroad, the author holds that the individual quality of a teacher consists of professional emotion, professional knowledge and professional technical ability.In Part II, some questions of teachers' education in our country are discussed: the teachers' education isn' t looked upon as a professional education. It shows that there isn' t difference between the curriculums of the teachers colleges and that of the universities , and that there is a trend that the academic curriculum is taken seriously and the educational curriculum is looked down on. Then the author analyzes the questions involved in the teachers working in the classrooms and claims that these are mostly caused by the deficiency of teacher-training curriculum.Through above analyses, the author advances some new principles to construct the new system of curriculum. Lastly, the author constructs the new curriculum based on these principles , which comprises five modules: general education curriculum module, professional basic curriculum module, professional curriculum module, practical curriculum module and activity curriculum module.
