The integrative practical activity curriculum is the new school curriculum in the curriculum reform of elementary education. In the schema of the curriculum reform of elementary education enacted in June 2001 the integrative practical activity curriculum is required from primary schools to senior middle schools. The main contents include: information technology education, research learning, community service, social practice and labor & technology education.The integrative practical activity curriculum is quite different from the traditional curriculum, and it has the properties of integration, practice and special function and value. Now the concern lies on such aspects: who teach the integrative practical activity curriculum? How to teach? Education department is conducting teacher training about the integrative practical activity curriculum. But the training hardly reaches students' demand. Primary school teacher education aims at offering qualified teachers to primary school. In the author's opinion, it is an effective way to conduct the integrative practical activity curriculum for cultivating qualified teachers who can give instruction in the integrative practical activity curriculum.I retrieve many educational journals and found 57 articles about the integrative practical activity curriculum, but I can't find any article about teacher training in of primary school. Now people realize the importance of the integrative practical activity curriculum and more and more people appeal for the reform on curriculum of teacher education. In June 2002, the key research project: The integrative practical activity curriculum and teacher training is conducts. More attention is paid on the problem of teacher training in the integrative practical activity curriculum, and many teachers training colleges are gathered to perform research on this project. So the kind of research on this project just starts. No one in west region of china research it by now.inThe theoretical value and practical value of this research is:1 .Explain the relationship between the integrative practical activity curriculum in primary school and teacher education.2.To provide strategies for teacher education in primary schools in the integrative practical activity curriculum and to apply these strategies in practice and to offer operational model and experiences for others.3. This project has positive, practical significance for the integrative practical activity curriculum in elementary education curriculum.This research includes 5 parts:Part 1: Research on the integrative practical activity curriculum in primary school teacher education in the world.Part 2: The definition and significance of the integrative practical activity curriculum in primary school teacher education.Part 3: To explore the relationship between the integrative practical activity curriculum and primary school teacher education.Part 4: To provide the strategies for the integrative practical activity curriculum in primary school teacher education.Part 5: To conclude the teaching reform practice of the integrative practical activity curriculum in Urumqi Normal School.The practice shows that it is very important to conduct the integrative practical activity curriculum in primary school teacher education. It is an effective way to cultivate the new creative and practical teachers who can adapt to the reform of the integrative practical activity curriculum.
