| Graduates' employment is a hot issue that is subject to policies, involving a wide range of aspects and attracting close attention of the whole society. The fulfillment of graduates' employment is of great importance to the social stability, the graduates' future and the expectations of their parents. Meanwhile, under socialist market economy, the graduates' employment rate is also one of the important evaluation indexes of all aspects in universities, such as the educational quality and management level, etc. The graduates' employment is to test the cultivation of talents in higher education, and the social reputation of universities. Besides, it enables the universities to keep vigorous in the career markets full of fierce competition. And it influences the source of students in the future, the rational disposition of talent resources, and the social stability. Therefore, probing into the current situation of P. E. majors' employment in Shan dong province is of great theoretical and practical importance to perfect university's physical education system of our province, to train qualified talents of physical education needed, and to promote the sustainable development of university's physical education.The research of "employment education, current situation of employment, reform of employment system, and development countermeasures" in home and abroad mainly focuses on the following issues: the current situation of employment education in our country; the correct awareness of the significance of employment system in current China; the importance and the related measures of employment systemreform in China; the situation, the idea, the tendency of employment. Lack but systematic studying to the deepening that sports of Shan Dong educates the professional employment question, and this kind of system is studied no matter to the one's own disparity of own understanding of every institute and department, and plan to educate the specialized discipline overall arrangement to have important meanings to relevant decision departments in sports of our province.Owing to the reasons above, this thesis take as research object the P. E. majors and the career guidance departments of 14 universities and technological academies in our province, the middle schools in cities, towns, and countryside in eastern, western, and middle Shan dong province. On the basis of reading a huge variety of documents and materials, the author adopts the approaches such as questionnaire, experts' interview, statistics, and logic induction, etc. Starting from the current situation of P. E. majors' employment of normal universities in our country and taking into consideration the present need of society, the author discusses the current situation of P. E. majors' employment in our province, and comes to the following preliminary conclusions:1. Most graduates favor the open coastal cities in the east or, instead of the comparatively poor districts in the west of our province. Under market economy, the outlook of P. E. graduates of universities in Shan Dong province on life, value, and employment have seen obvious changes.2. Some graduates of universities in Shan dong province don't know or know little about the employment policy, which suggests that present career guidance in universities can't catch up with the development of the times.3. With employment information blocked, graduates lack relevant knowledge of employment, which reflects the fact that employment service system of universities in our province has not been strengthened andperfected progressively.4. In the eastern open coastal cities or the relatively developed districts of Shan dong province, the resources of gym teachers are sufficient or more than sufficient. But in the western underdeveloped districts, the resources are in serious shortage. In some places, there are even part-time gym teachers.
