Hidden harm, generally displayed covertly in comparison with dominant harm, is usually not perceived. As a matter of fact, it is gradually demonstrated in the growth of students for its deep impact and sluggish development in action.The contributing factors of hidden harm can be listed as follows: 1. high pressure in education life; 2. inappropriate methods in education; 3. "over-organized" strategies in school; 4. low quality and psychological factors of teachers; 5. psychological quality and mental state of students. Hidden harm is characteristic of: 1. complicated reasons; 2. latent and sluggish effects; 3. serious consequence; 4. special treatment.This paper, by means of questionnaires, conversations and documents, aims at a comprehensive demonstration of hidden harm in primary schools in Tianshui. It covers the harm resulting from punishment front teachers, psychological penalties, rules and regulations of primary schools and school spirit, and die measures taken by students. In the survey, the senior students in 9 schools, of which 3 are urban primary schools, 3 countryside schools and 3 suburban ones are involved and 700 questionnaires are issued, of which 628 valid ones are reclaimed.In the paper, the following can be concluded: 1. though forbidden in law but existing in reality, various penalties by teachers result in hidden harm on campus. 2. it is probable that the interests of some special groups on campus are easy to infringe upon in this condition, especially when sex and school marks are concerned. 3. tfae phenomenon of bullying must be paid attention to. 4. the dominant positions of the students' rights are often neglected in formulating school regulations. 5. the school spirit plays an important role in deciding the number of the harmed students and the degrees of its seriousness. In view of mis situation, this paper proposes the relevant suggestions and measures from the angles of teachers, school regulations and school spirit, thus taking precautions against hidden ham on campus.
