Employment Guidance Education of College Students is an important part of the employment work at institutions of higher learning. In face of the critical situation concerning the employment of college students, the work of collegiate employment, which transforms from the development and maintenance of the employment market as its center to the employment guidance education as its focus so as to lead students to a correct view of employment and the realization of full employment, shall be a great and active impetus to the smooth development of the collegiate employment work. This paper, based on a brief introduction of the contents, features and development of the employment guidance education, intends to start with an analysis of the importance of college students' employment guidance education followed by the explanation of the present state and problems facing it, and then offer proper measures, the purpose of which is to try to set up a complete employment guidance education system of college students and strengthen the tangible effect of employment guidance education. The main research of the paper is as follows:l.To differentiate scientifically the employment guidance and the contents of employment guidance education of college students, expound on the features of employment guidance education of college students and briefly introduce the basic development of collegiate employment guidance education at home and abroad.2.To study the significance of employment guidance education of college students. Start from the angle of higher education being to directly turn out useful talents for the socialist modern construction, explore into the role of employment guidance education in such four aspects as establishment of the college students' view on job selection, their talent development, rational distribution of human resources and deepening of education andteaching reform, and then reach the conclusion: the employment guidance education of new age college students is of great importance.3.To study what employment guidance education has achieved and the problems it has to overcome. Through the analysis of the existing state of employment guidance education of present college students, the paper has summarized from five aspects the achievements of college students' employment guidance education since the 1990s when it started and disclosed also from five aspects the problems related to it as evidence for the analysis of causes and thought of countermeasures.4.To study and analyze the main reasons for the existence of problems facing the employment guidance education. Through the analysis of the objective causes for "critical" employment situation in society and for the fact that the reform of college education lags behind development, as well as the causes for the existence of erroneous areas concerning employment ideas of college students that lead to "difficulty in job-finding", the paper derives that the fundamental causes for the "difficulty" mentioned above is due to the deviation of employment ideology, which proves that the strengthening of employment guidance education at colleges and universities at present is imperative and necessary.5.To explore into the measures and counter-policies to enhance employment guidance education at institutions of higher learning.
