More and more researches have indicated that teaching is one of the professions under greatest pressure. If teachers can't cope with pressure successfully, which means that teachers' job pressure has not been released for a long time, teacher burnout will be engendered. Great changes have taken place in China, the quality education reform is carrying out like a raging fire. As a international city, Shanghai has advanced the proposal of "Building Top-ranking City and Education", the implementation of the second periodical curriculum reform made it the pioneer of the quality education reform in China. Acting as the propellent and undertaker of new curriculum reform, teachers play a critical role in the foundational education reform and face unprecedented challenge at the same time. In such background, teachers' living,adaptility and development situation gradually become the attentive focus of Chinese educationists.based of the analysis of existing materials and the theory of teacher development, this thesis combined "developmental" approach and "biologic" approach, used teaching year as a principal parameter and analytical model, and put forward the analytical content and studying angle of this article. The research purposes and contents are followings:1. Summarized the general actuality domestic and aboard and the evolution of this topic through the investigation of literature.2. deeply dig into:(1) The situation of teacher burnout (scope,extent and feature)(2) The major pressure resources leading to the emergence of teacher burnout.(3) The form and features of teacher burnout.(4) Further proposals to cope with teacher burnout.Because of the difficulties and limited conditions, this investigation locked the studied objects in the elementary schools and selected 400 teachers to answer the questionnaires. In order to analyze more deeply, 3-5 teachers were picked out in different age stages to be interviewed.The paper consists of four parts as following:The first part put forward the issues. It summarizes related research findings and combines related studying level, and then raises the purposes and core concepts of this article.The second part introduces the design and process of this questionnaires. It includes the selection of studied objects, the design and distribution of the questionnaires.The third part is about the result of the investigation. It generally describes the actuality of teacher burnout in some elementary schools of Shanghai and makes some simple conclusions of related findings and essential reasons leading to teacher burnout.The fourth part is the countermeasures and suggestions to cope with teacher burnout.
