Since the expansion of enrollment of college students in 1999, the employmentof college students have become a new problem following the re-employment of theurban laid-off workers and the employment of rural labor force in urban area. Thecollege students in Zhengzhou, which is the capital of the biggest province in Chinain terms of population, are facing great pressure from employment. In practice, themarket allocation of the talent resources is the most fundamental way of the graduateemployment, meanwhile, the talent markets in Zhengzhou show a series ofcontradictory phenomena in the employment of college students.Through the analysis on the present situation of the talent resources ofZhengzhou and the investigation results on the college students made by Zhengzhoutalent markets from 2001 to 2004, the author studies the contradictions indicated bythe talent markets in Zhengzhou by proceeding from the employment problem of thecollege students. The main content includes: insufficient amount of the total talentresources;the difficult employment of the college students;the structuralcontradiction between the supplying party and demanding party of the talent markets;the structural contradiction of the educational backgrounds of the college students;the credit of the college students;the gap between the expected salary of the collegestudents and the actual salary;the employment guidance for the college students andother problems with the common nature.Based on the above analysis, the author puts forward the followingdevelopment strategy for the talent markets in Zhengzhou and the employmentstrategy of college students by combining the actual conditions of Zhengzhou andcomparing the foreign experience on development and allocation of the talentresources: to further optimize the market function of the talent markets in Zhengzhouby enhancing the building of legal system and credit, give a full play to thefundamental function of the talent markets in allocating talent resources;thegovernment shall encourage the development of the small and medium-sizedenterprises with non-state ownership by macro-economic control, make vigorousefforts to develop the tertiary industry to increase the job opportunity, buildearly-alarming system of talents, promote the linkage between the colleges oruniversities and the talent markets, do well in guiding and serving the collegestudents in their job-seeking;speed up the adjustment of the professional structureand the talent cultivation structure in colleges and universities, cultivate successorsfor new economy, replace the quality of the present talents, emphasize theprofessional training, intensify the life-long education and so on.
