The challenges of the information age fundamentally require students to have rapid access to information and screening, accurately to identify the authenticity of information and to create processing and information-handling capacities, which are called information literacy. Training students for information literacy has become a fundamental objective of IT education.The writer begins with the contents of information literacy and demonstrates the content system of information literacy of the secondary school students. By investigating the status of the information literacy of some secondary school students in Shenzhen, the writer gives us deep analysis of the status of the students' information literacy and some of the problems in developing the students' information literacy.
