As more and more focus is fixed on the development of professional teaching, teaching reflection,an important approach to realizing efficient teaching, has been recognized by more and more education researchers and teaching staff. There have been varieties of theoretical studies on teaching reflection both at home and abroad. A new round of curriculum reform in the area of chemistry teaching has been carried out recently in our country. It requires chemistry teachers master teaching reflection because reflecting ability directly affects teachers'proper understanding of the new concept and the implement of the curriculum reform.Through my learning, understanding and study on teaching reflection, I have realized the signification of chemistry teaching reflection and some basic characteristics and I put them into my teaching practice. In my opinion, the approaches to teaching reflection in chemistry teaching consist of self reflection, students'feedback and communications among colleagues, which I apply in my teaching practice as well. Besides, I perform reflection both in teaching procedure in class and in the aspect of weaknesses and strengths in me. I also point out the elements that will affect teaching reflection, according to which I combine teaching practice and reflection to enable teaching reflection to serve teaching practice better.Combining current teaching practice, this essay collects applications of teaching reflection in my teaching practice and states my thoughts on teaching reflection in chemistry teaching so as to provide support for more appropriate teaching reflection. I would feel honored if my essay offers any reference to teachers and I hope we can grow into exploring type of teachers to meet the need of professional teaching.
