The development of modern teachers must have the characteristics of the modern times as human has stepped into the information age. Teachers should master not only the indispensable scientific knowledge and teaching skills, but also some information attainments; they should not only master the basic principles and skills of education and information technology, but develop the ability to organize and optimize the classroom teaching with the use of education technology. Therefore, it' s necessary for teachers to receive education technology training (ETT).Teacher' s ETT can be divided into two categories according to the practice of teacher' s ETT: ETT for primary and secondary school teachers and ETT for college teachers. Colleges burden the task to develop high-level talent for the country, so the development of colleges must firmly grasp the pulse of the development of the times and the trend of modern technology development. Developing ETT for college teachers is an important measure to improve their ability to apply education technology, elevate their information attainments, and better the reform of education and teaching. This paper focuses on the ETT model for college teachers in order to promote the practice of ETT for college teachers.Firstly, the paper analyzes the ETT which the writer received in recent years and which the writer has developed in Shaoxing University; secondly, it builds and practices the writer' s school-based ETT model for college teachers; lastly, it analyzes the collected data with certain revision to the model. In the last part of the paper, the writer puts forward some suggestions to build the ETT model for college teachers and carry out further research with the hope to play a role in education modernization.
