The study of job burnout has become a hot spot in the field of psychology research. The term of job burnout is to describe a series of symptoms such as emotion exhaust, depersonalization, low sense of achievement and so on, which caused by heavy working pressure. Nowadays teaching job burnout is very common, and this kind of burnout is not only harmful to the teachers' health but also seriously restricts the development of education even the whole society. So the study of teacher's job burnout is of great significance. This thesis aims to regard the rural ordinary senior high school teachers as a example in Pingxiang city, Jiangxi province, It explores the influence of population statistics on teachers' job burnout, in order to supply a certain information about job burnout to the teaching authorities and school governors and also advance some suggestions for teachers on how to prevent and relief job burnout.To achieve the goals mentioned above, the thesis adopted the Chinese Maslach Burnout Inventory (CMBI) edited by Doc. LiYongxin in Psychology Department in Henan University, and surveyed 325 rural high school teachers and 289 urban high school teachers, which indicates: (1) The job burnout of high school teachers in rural area, which is universal, is generally more serious than that of city. (2)As for depersonalization, male teacher is higher than female teacher. (3)From the point of emotion exhaustion, teachers between 11 to 30 are the most serious, and are apparently higher than the teachers who are 10 years younger. (4)Marriage state is the main factor that influences the job burnout. Marriaged teacher is apparently higher than that of unmarriaged teacher.On the basis of the survey, the author brings forward to three countermeasures to deal with job burnout.First, to improve teacher's social and economical state, construct reasonable social expectancy.Second, to hold an object and generous view on teacher's job burnout, and construct powerful social supporting system.Third, to set up the idea of "Person-oriented", and construct corresponding organization.Last, for teachers, they should learn to adjust themselves to the changeable environment and try to improve their integrated quality.
