The Present Administrative Situation And Developing Strategies Of Higher Vocational Education Of TianShi College

It is the objective demand for the development of economy and society to devote major endeavor to develop higher vocational education. The rapid development of higher vocational education has occurred since the new policy of developing new higher vocational education was carried out in the 1990th in China. Nowadays, the higher vocational education has entered the situation with multilayer and multi-sorts competition. As a later form of higher education, to succeed and win the corresponding status, the higher vocational education must take advantage of its superiority of later issue and increase the college's competition, especially the kernel competition, and promote its continuous development. Whereas, the society do not fully understand the importance of higher vocational education, thus it is beneficial for the healthy and fast development of higher vocational education to have correct recognition on higher vocational education.Based on the present situation of higher vocational education, the definition, characteristics, orientation, developing goals and the significance of the higher vocational education were proposed and discussed in this paper from the basic concept and theory. The paper analyzes the present situation of Tianshi College and summarizes the major problems in the developing process. The new developing strategies are proposed based on the analysis of existing problems. A series of insufficiencies such as the vague orientation of higher vocational education, inconspicuous features in running the college, low quality of students, irrationality of the teacher staff and the shortage of necessary practice bases were discovered. Therefore, to resolve the problems mentioned above, series of effective measurements, such as concepts updating, exact orientation, strengthening the professional, teaching and teacher staff building, and the practice bases establishment inside or outside the college. By improving itself continuously, the higher vocational education will cultivate talents who are suitable for the development whole society and make great contribution to the construction of our country socialist modernization.
