It is of far-reaching importance to intensify and improve the moral education construction of the middle school students. However, many problems with the moral quality of the middle school students have arisen from social changes, family factors, and inadequate school education. The paper intends to probe into the relevant strategies of coping with these problems by illustrating the status quo of the moral education, analyzing underlying reasons for the problems, and using the related theories with respect to moral education, pedagogical principles and psychological theories. The paper also puts forward some strategies as to dealing with these problems which are as follows: firstly, modifying the goal and contents of moral education and strengthening the maneuverability in practice so as to improve the moral education; secondly, great importance should be attached to building up the moral level of the students as a whole; thirdly, developing a variety of moral education resources by taking advantage of different kinds of media available ; fourthly, improving the efficiency of moral education by means of psychological effects; fifthly, establishing the scientific assessment system of moral education. The author concludes that it is of significance to help the middle school students to develop good habits moral behavior, to achieve the goal of the school moral education and to train the new socialist builders for the 21st century.
