The main objectives of the new curriculum reform are to reform the tendency of over-emphasis on knowledge transmission, and to stress that curriculum should promote physical and mental development of each student and cultivate their desire and ability of lifelong learning; to strengthen the comprehension, flexibility and diversity of the curriculum structure instead of over-emphasis on academic independence; to link the curriculum with modern society, science development and students' life instead of putting too much stress on the tightness of discipline system and classical contents; to diversify the teaching materials, which used to neglect regional and cultural differences and break away from the development of society, science as well as students' body and mind, so as to improve its science and adaptability; to promote active participation, cooperation, communication, inquiry and other effective approaches to learn and improve their learning methods instead of just accepting, memorizing and imitating; to convert the traditional evaluating system, which tends to emphasize memorizing and its functions of selection and discrimination, into a new one, which has diverse evaluation indexes and methods and which focuses on not only the results but also the process; to adopt a new curriculum management rather than the over-centralized one to improve its adaption and this new one should be carried out by the state, local government and school.To achieve the goals of new curriculum, doing research on the quality of the classroom teaching is a very meaningful task. It takes a long time for teachers to internalise a series of teaching philosophy, models and methods of new curriculum to their own wisdom through experience, reflection and practice. Classroom teaching wisdom makes it possible for teachers to cope with the complicated and changeable situations.
