Class is the basic unit of school. The success of class management determines the success of the school management, as well as the success of the education and teaching of school to a certain extent. A newly-built class is not bound to be a class collectivity. The construction of class needs the efforts in many ways. Among all, the most important one is the management of headteachers.This thesis is a study on formation of class and headteachers'management tactics. Firstly, the writer makes an investigation into the management situation of some elementary and middle schools in Shanghai, collects and analyses the data of investigation and content of interviews, and finds out the primal problems which exist in management of class currently. Secondly, the writer expounds the reasons of these problems. Finally, based on the related theory research, the writer points out some feasible tactics of class management. Manage the students according to their aptitude, and solve the problems individually. Seize the main contradiction, and select and cultivate the class cadre. Carry out all kinds of activities to improve the skill of students'self-management. Harmonize and unified all positive factors to form the educational pool efforts. Headteachers should perfect themselves to improve the quality of management. These tactics can provide useful component for theory and practical research of class management.
