Practice And Research On The Platform Of Internet Teaching And Learning Under Distance Education

Any new development in information technology will boost the development of the distance education. However, the researches of the related literature and case studies of teaching and learning all indicate that among the vast sea of the researches on internet teaching and learning, there still lack a mature and effective model about how to apply the Internet platform in distance teaching and learning and offer systematic supportive assistance and services. The initial purpose of the present thesis is to facilitate the distance teaching and learning, particularly in hope that the China Radio & TV Universities (CRTVU), the largest educational system in the world, can develop in an effective and orderly way. This paper first analyzes the platform of internet teaching and learning (PITL) in some distance educational institutions. In light of the characteristics of national educational system of CRTVU and different demands of the teaching and learning in practice, after analyzing the present PITL in use, this paper puts forward a theoretical model for reconstruction of a new platform of Internet teaching and learning. The thesis argues that initiative involvement isn't in line with the teaching and learning demands of TV universities, whereas effective control is the core of it. In addition, the paper points out the limitation of the design conception of the ITL platform in hope that it can help facilitate the improvement of the supportive services system of China Radio &TV universities.
