Educated in the highest level of national higher education, graduate students in university are the important force of national human resources of high level in support. After receiving undergraduate courses education, graduate students have had a great deposition of human capital and are provided with the ability to take on some kinds of job. The integration of teaching and research results in the graduate student's contribution to the development of school and society while they are educated. Thus, graduate students are the inevitable part of human resources in university. But, graduate students are regarded as pure students and are supervised in a way that has discouraged them from bringing out their full initiation, enthusiasm and creativity.Attempting to redefine human resources in university, which used to only involve faculty, members in service and administration department, it suggests that graduate student administration should be carried out guided by the notion of modern human resource management, regarding the graduates as the important part of human resources in university. The modern human resource management notion, basing on human capital theory, encouragement theory and people orientated theory, stresses the realization of postgraduate human capital ,emphasis the effect of postgraduate human resource encouragement and the"people oriented"idea's application in postgraduate management. The administration of graduate students directed by modern human resources theory considers graduate student's educational process as a process of human resources exploitation and utilization;Graduate student's role as teaching assistance, research assistance, administration assistance and their participation in social activities is an efficient way to make full use of graduate student human resources;The related administration department should attach importance to the encouragement of graduate students, which is the core of modern human resource management, and put it into the practice of graduate student human resource management. The history of our country's graduate management is marked off 4 phases, which manifests different characteristics in different phase and reveals the imprint of graduate student exploitation, utilization and encouragement in some degree. Resulting from history development and the impersonal reasons , the graduate student management in our country exists problems such as the simplification of training pattern, the unreasonableness of courses setting,insufficiency in thesis supervision and the deficiency in making use of graduate student and the lack of encouragement effect of scholarship. Basing on the reference of foreign country's advanced practice in graduate student human resource exploitation and utilization, we get some revelation that talent cultivation should be consistent with the development of society and place emphasis on the full utilization of graduate student human resources. Bring the graduate student into the category of university human resource management, we should adopt the following countermeasures, including building up the notion that graduate students are the important part of university human resources, paying attention to the market-orientation notion of graduate student human resources exploitation, making the best of graduate student human resources, forming the exterior competition and interior encouragement system. |
