Life quality, the term appeared in America in 1960s.In1958, John Kenneth Galbraith presented the concept of life quality firstly in his book "The Affluent Society". Thereafter, it gradually became a special research field which attracted many scholars in various sciences such as economics, sociology, psychology, etc., and it formed a kind of social movement pushed by the study of social index. In China, study on life quality began in 1980s.Many researchers had done a huge contribution on Chinese life quality research and made each evaluation system. The ranks of resident life quality in different cities always can be seen in newspapers and magazines. But the survey and study on students campus life quality is still less.Educating people is the key to school education, so this study focuses on junior middle school students' campus existing state in ChongQing. Attempting to make a general evaluation on the campus life quality of junior middle school students in ChongQing through investigating various factors which may affect the campus life quality of junior middle school students in ChongQing, and some referential conclusion are given based on analysis of collected data to provide consultation and countermeasure suggestion for education administration department and school executive institution to improve educating environment to improve students' campus life quality and construct harmonious campus. The paper is divided into six parts:The first chapter made an introduction on such aspects: first the significance, object, contents, purpose of this study and also the reason for studying this problem. Then review the presented research both domestic and foreign. At last, the emphasis, difficulties and innovation are discussed. The second chapter was divided into two parts: theoretical basis and practical basis. The theoretical basis includes theory of life quality, philosophy of life world, educational sociology and theory of harmonious society construction. In practical basis, this study first discussed the existing state of students in school and concluded that learning-oriented life is students' existing state in school, which put a base for further study. Through investigation we found the students' existing state in school not so optimistic and predicted their campus life quality would not good, which is the practical basis of this study.The third chapter firstly defined the important concept of "campus" "junior middle school students" "life quality" and "campus life quality", then introduced research methods and conditions of investigating place and investigating contents.The fourth chapter mainly analyzed and commented the present situation of the campus life quality of junior middle school students in ChongQing. First, we classified factors affect campus life quality of junior middle school into six aspects: fundamental condition, cultural facility, relationship state, learning life, after-class life and etc. In which cultural facility includes sports field, library and information channel, which are the essential means for school to cultivate people and the fundamental guarantee for campus life quality. Learning life is a special life process caused by teaching and learning which includes curriculum, class and learning pressure. Learning life quality is the necessary component of campus life quality. After-class life includes three aspects: rest, leisure and exercise, extracurricular reading. Then we made a description and analysis on these factors from seven schools we selected.The fifth chapter made a main conclusion of this study and put forward countermeasures. It was found that the main problem exists in campus life quality of junior middle school students in ChongQing is that we never correlate educating people with each part of campus life quality, thus caused low life quality, imbalanced hardware level, irrational distribution of time, less after-class activities and dull after-class life, etc.The sixth chapter put forward an assumption to construct perfect evaluation system for campus life quality of junior middle school students. And then such three aspects as the frame structure of index system of junior middle school students' campus life quality, construction of evaluation index weight of junior middle school students' campus life quality and the calculation of the comprehensive index of junior middle school students' campus life quality was discussed.
